CAREFULLY:
Here are some basic instructions for using The LOR sequences. Feel
free to use them, abuse them, change them, or whatever you wish. They may
not be to your liking but if they are this might save you some effort.
The download files only include the basic beats and events so you can adapt them to your own channel configuration. To download a sequence just click on the name, choose "Save" and place it wherever you keep your LOR files (usually in "C:\Program Files\Light-O-Rama\Sequences"). The corresponding music file is just to the right of the sequence. To download the music right click on the link and choose "Save Target As..." This file should usually go in "C:\Program Files\Light-O-Rama\Audio"
When you first open the sequence you will need to re-assign the audio file since the mp3 file names automatically change a bit when I upload them to the server (spaces are converted to under-strikes). Click on "Edit" then choose "Audio File" Find and select the corresponding music file.
These sequences only include enough channels to get the timing and musical events synchronized. It's up to you to add whatever channels you have and then spread the events accordingly. The top channel titled "beat" was only to help me with lining up the events. The bottom channel titled "change" was to queue me to logical spots to make changes in my animation as I assign the events to the actual channels. The middle eight channels are the ones that I spread around the actual display channels.
Now, here's the fun part. All of
the music is taken from copyrighted CDs except one song which was downloaded
from one of the pay internet sites and now nobody can find it (Techno). By
downloading my music files you are promising me that you own a legal copy of the
original music track. If you need information on the CD's let me
know. Most of these songs have been edited, usually to
make them shorter. Therefore the original that you own won't work with the
sequence.
